Durham & Associates has a long and storied history in southeast New Mexico. In 1951, Kern Smith started an architectural firm in Carlsbad. Beryl Durham joined the firm in 1956; became a partner in 1966; and the firm became known as Kern Smith Durham & Associates. Kern Smith retired in 1983 and Beryl founded Beryl Durham & Associates, P.A. in January of 1984. After Beryl’s death in 2006, the firm was reorganized as Durham & Associates Architects, Inc.

 

All of our key personnel have stayed with the firm and continue to carry on the tradition of excellence in all aspects of architectural service that Durham & Associates has provided for over half a century.
